The youth clinics are open to you if you are between the ages of 12 and 25.
Parental consent is required for children under age 14.
What are the youth clinics?
The youth clinics provide prevention services and treatment in a private, welcoming and accessible environment. They are a place where young people between the ages of 12 and 25 can consult a nurse, a doctor or a psychosocial worker, by appointment, about their sexuality, birth control, the morning-after pill, testing and treatment for STBBIs, etc.
Free and confidential services
Our services are free and confidential, and you’re guaranteed to see someone quickly.
You can ask to see a doctor or a nurse if:
- you have questions about your sexuality;
- you want information about birth control, sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs), etc.;
- you need to be treated for an STBBI, infection, etc.;
- you need emergency contraception (morning-after pill);
- you need a pregnancy test;
- you need a referral for an abortion;
- you need to speak to a social worker (thoughts of suicide, problems with alcohol or drugs).
Help and support are never very far away.

There are several people who can help you at your school, including the nurse, social worker, specialized educator, psychologist, and remedial teacher, among others.
