Our hospital has 201 short-stay beds and more than 214 doctors and pharmacists, including 87 general practitioners, 116 specialists and 13 pharmacists. We provide uninterrupted high-quality care suited to your medical condition. We will be happy to serve you. As a user, you are our top priority.
During your stay, we will make every effort to accomplish our main mission, which is to take good care of you.
Admission
When you arrive at the hospital, report to the Admission office, to the left of the main entrance behind the receptionists: “ADMISSION.”
Office hours: Monday to Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (except holidays)
Room choice
Our hospital has three types of rooms:
- Private rooms with 1 bed;
- Semi-private rooms with two beds;
- Wards with four beds.
You are not guaranteed the room you choose at the time of your admission. However, we will try to respect your preference. During your hospital stay, you can always change your mind by filling out the “Modification du choix de chambre” (Room change) form.
Personal items
Do not wear and/or bring:
- jewelry;
- body piercing(s);
- valuables;
- a large amount of cash.
Valuables
Hôpital Anna-Laberge is not responsible for the loss or theft of your personal items, including your hearing aids, dentures and glasses. We recommend you give your valuables to a family member to keep for you.

Parking pay stations are located at the main and Emergency department entrances.

Information about your health condition
You should designate someone to ask about your health condition and act as the family spokesperson. Only the treating physician is authorized to give out information about your diagnosis and test results.

Your discharge from the hospital
Discharge procedure
Your doctor must sign your hospital discharge form. In general, the document is signed 24 hours before your discharge. You must leave your room by 10 a.m. However, once the doctor has discharged you, you may leave the hospital at any time. Make sure you have an adult support person to help you get home.
Hospital fees
At the end of your hospital stay, go to Accounting to inform the clerk that you are being discharged and to settle any bill related to your stay.

Hospital fees are fully covered for Québec residents with a valid health insurance card, with the exception of certain treatments and medical services not covered by the RAMQ. Your doctor will let you know if this is the case. Speak to your insurer about the terms of the reimbursement.

Day medicine
This service is available by referral from a doctor or a health professional, usually after a hospital stay or by appointment. Day medicine includes a range of services, including examinations, treatments, clinical monitoring, teaching, and short-, medium- or long-term follow-up. These services may be provided in a single day or over several days to users whose health condition is stable enough for them to return home between appointments.
Post-hospitalization follow-up
Were you recently discharged from the hospital? Did you know there is a team available to answer your questions and address your concerns about your health, and also to coordinate the follow-up you need to help you recover and avoid another hospital stay or trip to the emergency department? - This service is available for 30 days after you are discharged.
