The CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest wishes to inform the public that five winter clinics will be open from Monday, December 2, 2019, until Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
Located in existing medical clinics, the winter clinics offer more available time slots for medical consultations related to minor problems, in response to the significant increase in the need for front-line care. They also allow people to see a doctor faster in the event their symptoms deteriorate or their health condition requires it.
What if I’m unsure about my condition?
If you’re unsure about the severity of your symptoms, there are many resources available to assess your health condition:
- Info-Santé 811 is a resource available 24/7;
- Your pharmacist can help guide you by asking you questions about your general health condition;
- You can also consult your family doctor or a doctor at a GMF-Réseau (super clinic) on our territory:
- Visit www.sante.gouv.qc.ca/en/repertoire-ressources/ to find a clinic that offers walk-in appointments;
- When you need to see a doctor and can’t get an appointment with your own doctor or at a walk-in clinic, we encourage you to visit a winter clinic instead of going to the emergency department.
