This regional program is intended for people aged 16 and over with a motor impairment who need to be admitted for a short time to receive specialized intensive functional rehabilitation services required for them to recover a level of functioning that will allow them to safely return home or to a substitute living environment.
To be referred to the Intensive functional rehabilitation unit, a user must be unable to return to their original living environment, have the potential for rehabilitation, be able to participate in rehabilitation exercises, and be medically stable.
How can I access this service?
With a referral from a healthcare professional, by submitting an inter-institution service request (DESI).
