Through the use of technical aids, the Assistive devices program (PATCom) aims to compensate for disabilities in people aged 0-100 who present with speech and writing challenges or with difficulty controlling their environment.
The assistive devices are grouped into six categories:
- speech aids;
- augmentative communication devices;
- adaptive writing tools;
- environmental control units;
- computer access aids;
- adaptive telephone equipment.
How to make a service request
This service is provided with a referral from a health and social services professional.
